Sebastian 2008 - Hockey

Latest re-do of Sebastian. Note new facial markings. Less tan on his cheek. Setting is now parallel-earth (or maybe paraxial-earth, if you understand the reference), approximately the mid 1970's feeling, with maybe some 1960's and 1980's thrown in for good measure. I'm not writing real history here, after all.

I have made my canid species plantigrade for ease of using hockey themes. (How the heck do you make a digitigrade skate?)

Sebastian is about 6'3", 28 years old, and closeted (for apparent reasons). He is a defenseman for the Redding Spitfires (meant to vaguely resemble the "Broad street Bullies" Philadelphia Flyers' teams of the mid 70's). He's been with the Spitfires for three seasons. Before that he spent three seasons in Kingsbury playing minor roles, and before that, some time in an un-named minor league.

Pose, background, gloves, and stick taken directly from a photo in the 1974 edition of The Hockey Encyclopedia in the "Portfolio of Action" section of color photos. I did not find a photographer credit readily available on the page, so I can't give credit to whoever took the actual photo.

My new scanner washed out some of the light background colors in the ice and on the boards. Poo. But, at least I do have a scanner again.
